Where Military Precision Meets Business Excellence

Dr. Hickman is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with 24 years of progressive senior leadership across Missile Defense, Space, logistics, joint operations, and higher education — including faculty and leadership roles at the United States Military Academy at West Point. In her final active-duty assignment, she served as Executive Officer to the Director of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Test Directorate, who oversaw a ~$1.3 billion annual test and evaluation enterprise.

That foundation now powers Jamie Hickman Consulting LLC, a WOSB, EDWOSB, SDVOSB, and VOSB-certified firm backed by an active TS/SCI clearance and an established network across the Missile Defense and Space community. Dr. Hickman holds an Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University, an MA in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, and an MBA from UMGC, and she brings the institutional access that comes from concurrent work advising the University of Chicago and UMGC on military-affiliated research, fellowships, and DoD partnerships.

Served in a dual-hat capacity as Executive Officer to both the Director of the MDA Test Directorate (Navy Admiral) and the MDA Executive Director (Senior Executive Service), supporting leadership of a ~$1.3 billion annual test and evaluation enterprise.
Provided direct advisory support to the MDA Executive Director on strategic priorities, agency-wide operations, and senior-level engagements across DoD, Congress, and interagency partners.
